The Challenge

Organize and execute a fundraising event or campaign that generates the most money for a non-profit organization of your choice. Take our money and do more good with it!

The Basics

  1. Choose any non-profit organization that you love.
  2. Plan a fundraising event or campaign on its behalf.
  3. Submit your proposal online by March 9, 2012.
  4. If your event is chosen, we will cover all budgeted costs outlined in your proposal. Max budget = $1,000.
  5. Document your efforts on video (Show off your awesome idea in action).
  6. Submit your final video and exit report by July 15, 2012.
  7. The most profitable campaign/event will receive up to $200 per student in college application fees.

The Details

  • This contest awards the most profitable event/campaign. That means maximizing the difference between the money spent and the money raised. Do more good, with less!
  • All proceeds must be donated to a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
  • Only one non-profit organization may be chosen.
  • Preference will be shown to groups who choose an organization that works to create lasting, sustainable, change for the better.
  • Your proposal must include: rationale for choosing your organization, your plan or great idea, your budget, a project calendar, and the full roster of participating leaders.
  • All campaigns/events must be completed by June 30, 2012.
  • 100% of your donations must be given to your organization within 3 business days of your event.
  • Only Juniors listed on the roster of leaders are eligible to win the $200 application fee awards.

The Deadlines

  • March 9: Submit proposal
  • March 9-15: Proposals in review and negotiated
  • March 16: Winning proposals notified
  • June 30: All campaigns/events concluded
  • July 15: Submit your final video and exit report

The Help

  • Be creative! The best ideas will win.
  • Don’t be afraid to piggyback other big events coming up (prom, graduation, sports events, etc…).
  • Don’t forget about that whole Internet thing; we’ve heard it’s pretty useful.
  • Details win. Remember that when creating your budget and project calendar.
  • The organization you choose will be vetted, so make sure you choose a great one.
  • There are some great up-and-coming organizations out there too. Check em out.
  • Take our money and do MORE GOOD with it!
